Our philosophy is to supply the customer with the air purifier which will best perform to their individual requirements. It is unfortunate but common that air purifier retailers sell the customer an air purifier based on what they stock, rather than what really suits the customer’s needs.
If you suffer from allergies and are looking to remove dust mites, mould and other airborne allergens, a 99.97% @ 0.3 microns, high efficiency particulate arrestance (HEPA) filter is essential.
Note: Australian Standards stipulate that certified medical-grade HEPA filters used in medical applications are constructed from steel because other materials can harbour bacteria. Most applications involving very fine dust removal also require a HEPA filter.
For chemical removal activated carbon is a fundamental filter. The quantity of activated carbon is relative to the performance of the filter. Kilograms of granular carbon in the filter is most effective in absorbing volatile organic compounds from vehicle pollution, off-gassing furniture, smoke and chemical vapours.
Filter pads impregnated with activated carbon are largely ineffective in an air purifier because they contain only grams of activated carbon with very limited life and absorption capacity. InovaAir only uses granular activated carbon in its filters.
The activated carbon removes over 3000 toxic gases and odours such as tobacco smoke and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) is one of the most complex health issues confronting every person. Recent research has found the quality of air in our homes and offices is often 3 to 5 times worse than the outdoors.

All air purifiers are manufactured from Australian BHP steel, we do not use plastic which off-gasses chemicals and lacks durability. Acoustically, steel is also superior to plastic as it is not susceptible to the same degree of vibration and resonance emitted from electric motors.
Annoying resonance and vibration noise is common in air purifiers constructed from plastic and this is not necessary reflected in decibel ratings. InovaAir utilises extensive motor isolation mounts to avoid motor resonance.
InovaAir filter housings are all-steel construction, which is essential in creating an airtight seal. Cardboard and polystyrene foam filter casings, while less expensive to manufacture are vulnerable to air bypassing around the filters as they lack the structural integrity to have airtight seals compressed on filter faces.
